WISEhistory : Incorporated in 1997, the company is independent, has charitable status and is limited by guarantee. Its board of experienced trustees, drawn from the public, private and voluntary sectors, and professional staff are committed to achieving twin objectives. These are:-

“To relieve poverty and to provide relief from the problems of poverty associated with unemployment and economic inactivity of those living in Greater Manchester and Lancashire, and

To provide services primarily to meet the needs of such persons within their own communities”
