WISEadvice provides help and support in a variety of ways. This includes:

- Help and support in developing your skills and qualifications,
- Assisting you to preparing a CV or completing an application form,
- Help in searching for a job,
- Practical help and advice on successful interview techniques,
- Confidence building support if you are returning to work following a break,
- Advice on childcare and a range of other local support services,
- Information about local jobs that suit your needs, and
- Help in identifying career paths that suit your abilities, skills and interests.
Our CV Preparation Service
We understand that people often need extra help and support with their CV. With hundreds of CV’s to plough through, employers often don’t spend more than about 30 seconds looking at each one! The secret of a good CV lies in knowing what to put in, what to leave out, and in how to sell your best qualities so that you stand out in a crowded job market.
At WISEadvice we have many years experience in doing just that. Our CV preparation service gives you the best possible chance of securing the job you want. This service is only available at our main centre (the Quest Centre, Bolton).
For just £29.50 you will get:
- A professional up to date CV produced on a re-writable CD-RW,
- A customisable covering letter ready for posting or emailing out with your job applications,
- 20 CV copies, ready printed on high quality paper. (We can print further copies in batches of 20 for just £8.50).
- Distribution of your CV to a range of high quality recruitment agencies.
How to access WISEadvice…
Our friendly and helpful face-to-face advisory service is delivered from a range of venues across Greater Manchester. These include jobcentres, libraries, colleges and community centres.
Our advisors are professionally qualified and can give advice to help you make the right choices about learning and work. They can also direct you to further on-line support and resources which will enable you to keep yourself up to date and keep track of your progress.

Partnership Work
WISEadvice aims to maintain an active, highly visible service across our region. We organise and participate in, events for local community groups and for providers of complementary services.
